Setting Up local accounts for windows hosts
This guide provides steps to bypass the online account requirement during the installation of Windows 11 (also applicable to Windows 10).
Steps
Step 1: Access Command Prompt
During the Windows installation process, when prompted to connect to a network or create an account:
Press Shift + F10 or Shift + Fn + F10 to open the Command Prompt.
Step 2: Disable Network Adapters
In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
The "Network Connections" window will appear.
Right-click on all active network adapters and select Disable.
Close the "Network Connections" window.
Step 3: Bypass Online Account Setup
Back in the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
The system will restart and return to the setup screen.
You will now have the option to create a local account and proceed with an offline setup.
Step 4: Force Offline Setup (if needed)
If further prompted for online setup, type the following command in Command Prompt and press Enter:
This ensures the setup is completed in offline mode.
