Identity and access management is the crucial step to secure the proxmox user sessions and logins to avoid any potential disruptions from internal / external offenders

Proxmox works on Users, Groups & Roles and Access is mainly based on the Roles & Permissions associated with it.

We can create users to allow other members to access the proxmox dashboard and manage distributed permission model to ensure uniform and secured workflow.

Ensure to select "Proxmox VE Authentication Server" in case the user account is not created in the actual proxmox base image.

These are the roles which can be assigned to nodes, individual sections to limit unwanted access with permissions settings.

We can also enable 2FA to further more harden the security under proxmox
