By default installation of Proxmox VE we have some slight issues here , the default datastore local-lvm
is no longer needed on the system as we cant use this storage space for storing virtual disk images nor the vDisks , We will now extend this space on the root partition to manage the partitions better on the proxmox sever.
Initially on the installation page we had the disk space of 50GB but we can only see the storage of nearly 25GB in the root of proxmox and other datastore local-lvm
is created which is just trash can for our deployment so we will delete the datastore and extend the root partition.
We can extend this 16GB of storage once following the steps below and extend the root partition of the system.
Now deleting the datastore from here we will have to make some minor changes with the shell of proxmox to extend the usable storage space.
Once the cloud shell is spawned we will pass the following commands
Now as we can see we have extended the space of the root partition which can be used to store anykind of files over the proxmox server. We will later cover some concepts in the upcoming sections ...
