Data centers are physical facilities that house computing hardware, such as servers, storage systems, and networking equipment, which are used to deliver cloud services. They ensure data processing, storage, and management are carried out efficiently and securely.
A region is a geographic area that consists of multiple data centers, providing cloud services in a specific location. Cloud providers often have regions in various parts of the world to ensure scalability, redundancy, and compliance with data residency requirements.
Availability Zones are distinct, isolated locations within a cloud region that are designed to operate independently. They provide high availability and fault tolerance, ensuring that if one zone fails, the other zones can continue to operate without disruption.
Geography is the collection of regions with its Availability Zones which is used to ensure the connectivity & reliability of services and ensuring maximum uptime.
